Thanks for your feedback Father Cho. And I do understand your point of view. There are many viewpoints and it is difficult to address everyone's concern. Language is important to all cultures and to preserve that and not lose our Korean identity is a very important element for all of our families. I do feel however that one of the most important element of mass is to listen to the homily, gain perspective and walk in god's path. Children do have a difficult time understanding and interpreting the message when it is delivered in Korean. The point that we have the very young kids have a separate presentation of the gospel and homily is so that they can grasp the intent of that Sunday's message.
My humble opinion is that it should be the same for the older children and non Korean Americans.
If those who attend the 10 o'clock mass feel compelled to hear God's message in Korean, they have the option to attend the 11 o'clock mass. The kids and others do not have that option.
And again, you can't please everyone and I understand that but please consider that "message sent may not be message heard" especially by the children. My 2 cents.
Thanks for your time to hear our concerns.
